"A Gentle Gesture" - Motivation & Decoration

Greeting card with original textile artwork – handcrafted by me using reclaimed materials

This greeting card features an original textile piece that I created using a mix of salvaged fabrics, stitched and assembled by hand. The floral design was drawn with thread using free-motion machine embroidery – a technique that allows me to "sketch" directly onto fabric. I added color accents with textile paint and layered fabric pieces to create texture and depth.

The composition includes warm earthy tones, shimmering highlights, and hand-stitched details, giving the piece a tactile, dimensional quality.
At the bottom, I included a quote by Mother Teresa:
“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”
It’s a message I deeply relate to – a quiet reminder that each of us can contribute to making the world a little better. Even the smallest kind gesture can be part of something greater.
